I get these csa boxes delivered to my house. It’s like a farm service where they deliver you super fresh, organic produce to your door for only thirty five dollars. Anyway, I get this head of cauliflower and I see this brown thing between the branches. I thought oh! This might be a cool beetle or something! Then I look closer and realize it’s squirming and trying to crawl away. As I was deforesting his home, I start freaking out about it. He’s eating and shitting all over my cauliflower. If you wanna ever know what caterpillar dookie ever looked like, here it is.
You’re welcome. So here’s Noctua Pronuba, a crop pest.
Then I took some passport photos… And you know… They never really look like how you think they do…
Beads? Bees? Beads! And sweets. Mendl’s, specifically. From The Grand Budapest Hotel. And dead bumblebees from hiking. Sad.
Then this coffee roasting machine from The Beanery, which is a local coffee shop.
Someone purchased a Jackson chameleon scarf!
Then we decided to go snowboarding this weekend, but I’m all about the bunnies.
And then there were words exchanged about people wanting to work in chicken processing plants!
It was a friend’s birthday and she had her party in her parent’s photography studio. I found a picture of her as a five year old posing in front of the Golden Gate Bridge, so I drew it.
We also had a painting class, so I totally trolled my canvas. I can’t listen to instruction.
And for yesterday’s drawing, we went to antique shops and ran errands. I finally got a baby succulent garden going! Here’s the drawing 10/365.
I picked up a friend and his puppy from the airport. Spenceman is the sweetest little doggie. When he saw me, he immediately jumped on my shoulder and gave me his doggie kisses, which is bumping his nose onto my face. 8/365
I have a pair of childhood friends that are twins and they sure love to eat. One of them is dieting with me (slow carb) and the other isn’t. I went out with the one that wasn’t and she wanted all the Xiao Long Baos. For those of you who don’t know what that is, it’s a delicious, steamed dumpling that’s made with broth and fat, as well as pork and veggies. When steamed, the insides become soupy and amazing. Anyway, since I couldn’t eat their delicious outsides, I felt like a spider sucking the delicious insides of a being.
And I loved it all.
Every day I’m documenting a drawing diary of interesting events of the day. I decided this was the easiest way for me to draw every day without thinking too hard about what I was going to draw. Hopefully I’ll be able to post every day on here, but if you don’t see it, it’s best to catch me on instagram.
January six. I saw a guy in fidi wearing a suit at Starbucks. He looked pretty nervous and he was shifting papers everywhere. He left a manila envelope full of rolled up papers on the counter and left. Another man walked in and sat down by the papers and hung out with them, guarding them. I wonder what that was about.
January 5. I was working on set design and went into the office pretty hungry. Decided to be bad and had McDonald’s breakfast. Sitting at the drive-thru, I saw movement from the corner of my eyes. There were mice running back and forth! I definitely had mixed feelings about it.
January 4. All the rabbits. I didn’t realize how many bunny things I had!
January 3. Brawl at the mall. Two old guys fought each other but only one landed a punch and gave the other one a black eye.
January 2. Window shopping and glasses shopping. Then watched the interview.
January 1. Happy New Year, everybody!
