So I’ve been trying to do a daily doodle, but since I haven’t doodled in a while and I was supposed to do a painting for a friend, here’s one of my Alice in Wonderland series drawings in painting form.
That’s right. New paintings on socialsquitten.etsy.com. These paintings, along with a few others will also be shown and will be up for sale next Saturday, October 24th at the Element Lounge for a leukemia and lymphoma fundraiser. Please check out the flier for details if you would like to be a part.
I had this drawing a while ago, but I decided why not make it into a painting? I could experiment with some of the styles and try not outlining it with black to see what it comes of it. This is pretty much what came of that.
Gotta love that cup of tea.
So I decided to make these little matryoshka doll paintings because I think of them as being so cute! I guess when you start off drawing it, they kind of look like ninjas. Anyway, I hope you enjoy it! These are for sale and if you’d like a cheap painting, I just bought a bunch of canvases for $10 bucks. If you’d like a painting, I’ll paint whatever you’d want in my style for… $10 bucks. This is for a 16×20" canvas. Let me know if you’d like one because I’ll be having this deal all month… until there are no more canvases to buy. This set of three is selling for $15 (4×4" each).
So my friend tells me that I should really take a stab at painting, even though I can’t say that I’m the best at colors. Whatever the case, this is what my first painting looks like:
I just spent a million dollars on paint supplies. I’m now taking commissions if anyone wants one of these babies (or other babies in my style).
